A rite of passage is a special ceremony or celebration that marks the threshold between one state of being, and another. As an ordained interfaith minister, Rev. Jessica customizes meaningful ceremonies to mark the important times in one’s life.
Varieties of Rites of Passage:
- Pregnancy and birth
- Baptism/Wiccaning
- Puberty
- Adulthood
- School and spiritual graduations
- Sage/elder recognition
- Funeral/Memorial/Celebration of life (including for pets)
Basic Wedding/Handfasting
- Rev. Jessica shares a quick, meaningful prayer or statement
- The couple has an option to say “I do’s”
- Ring exchange is optional
- The witnesses sign the marriage license, and Rev. Jessica takes care of it with the courthouse
- It takes about half an hour
How much does a customized rite of passage cost?
A basic wedding/handfasting is $50.
Otherwise, pricing depends on these variables:
- Travel distance
- Duration of ceremony
- Amount of preparation to put the ceremony together
- Tools/items provided by officiant (Rev. Jessica)
- Themed attire
- Rehearsal meetings
